For more than 30 years, Yvonne Champion has helped individuals, couples, and professionals navigate life’s most meaningful, and often most difficult, conversations.

As Founder and Clinical Director of Champion Counseling, Yvonne is known for creating a thoughtful, direct, and compassionate space where people can explore challenges with honesty, deepen self-understanding, and build stronger, more connected relationships.

Her work is grounded in a single conviction: meaningful change happens through authentic conversation. Whether helping couples repair trust after infidelity, navigate sexual concerns, strengthen emotional intimacy, or communicate in ways they never could before, Yvonne brings decades of clinical expertise together with genuine curiosity and care.

Yvonne is a respected consultant, educator, and supervisor, providing consultation and supervision for clinicians seeking to deepen their skills in relationship therapy and group psychotherapy, and helping therapists become more confident and effective in their work.

Throughout her career, Yvonne has partnered with healthcare systems, nonprofit organizations, legal professionals, and Fortune 500 companies to address conflict, trauma, burnout, and organizational stress.

Her current collaborations include Methodist Hospital’s Urology Department Intimacy and Wellness Program and the mental health programs of I’ll Have What She’s Having, with additional work alongside The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, HIV/AIDS service organizations, healthcare providers, and corporate leadership teams across Texas.

Clients and colleagues alike value Yvonne’s ability to combine clinical depth, practical insight, and authentic human connection. Her approach helps people move beyond surface-level solutions to create lasting change in their relationships, their work, and their lives.

Yvonne currently serves as President of the Houston Psychoanalytic Society and is a Past President of Imago Houston. She is a Certified Group Psychotherapist and maintains active involvement in professional organizations dedicated to advancing excellence in group psychotherapy.
